Darn man, these cage cost quite a lot, not to mentioned the difficulty on the maintenance(cleanliness)

Wow cool cages but can owners construct there cages just like the picture? Can we make it? I think it doesn't exist here in Phil. But I want those cages I'm sure my mimi cutie ham. will like it but we don't have it here in Phil. and I ant the spinning wheel too cause my mimi don't use it cause its hard to push.

There are no websites that sell online items like wodent wheel,bedding,cages that i see now,hamster feed or treats that we can't buy online through peso only dollars! I know a lot of people here in Philippines wants to have those but we are all disappointed...amazon no. searching nothing!

Nice! My hamster has a poor little cage :( We don't have space for a big one, but I am considering buying a bigger. I also read that the plastic bits in cages like them, might not be too good for them. The feet finds it hard to get grips and they can swallow plastoc pieces and hurt internal organs... But obviously it's quite normal.

ReplyDeleteI live in Phil. as well and i think if you look at petco they might have some cages like that. They may be a little expensive though. If not, you should try ebay or craigslist. They have plenty of cool cages and tubes. I'm thinking about getting a hamster after my birthday when i actually have money.
My cage is cool but not asum it is blue & 37 lingth & 27 hith it is ok win you don't git a good alouins my hamster is a russian dwarf hamster and her name is muffin because she has a brown belly. but where bo you git the money to buy those big cages

ReplyDeleteI just got to chinese dwarf hamsters today - petsmart - they are so sweet! They are a little shy, and of course scared cuz a new place, but haven't nipped me or my daughters (who have teddy hamsters, read a lot, and are teaching me hamster care lol). Anyways, wanted to say that we found the cage at one of the local thrift stores (including the wheel, water bottle, bowl, and house - all I had to get was the potty and bath, plus a toy or two). Just make sure you scrub it out real good in case of germs from the last inhabitants. ReplyDeleteThe cage has an upstairs, but it's all wire, which I read is not good for hamsters' feet. So I covered it with some non-skid padding, put on with sticky velcro, so when it gets too dirty to wipe down, I can put up the velcro and replace it.
Hey I just got a hamster this Friday.She is grey and white. She is the cutest thing ever. Her name is Lulu. How do I get her to respond to Lulu? I do not know if she is not used to her name yet or she does not like her name. I would really appriciate some tips. Oh and those hamster cages are adorable. I like that very first cage but it might be a little too big for just one hamster unless I wanted to spoil her!!!! :)
