- any sort of fruits, except citrus fruits like oranges.
- cooked chicken/fish
- dog biscuit
- sweet corn
- carrot
- plain tofu
- plain low fat yogurt
- mealworms
- crickets
Foods to avoid
- chocolate and candies
- potatoes (raw)
- apple seeds and grape seeds
- eggplant
- garlic and onions
- canned food
- almonds
- citrus fruits
- watermelon
Give a variety of food to keep your hamsters happy, just make sure you feed them small amount of fresh food in a single day, too much may make them diarrhea.

ReplyDeletemy hamster wont eat carrots or the little treats i gave her, and now she starts chewing on the cage what do i feed her? Shes a sweetie
ReplyDeleteMy hamster is not drinking much water i dont know if she doesnt know how or she doesnt want some, should i be worried? PS i have not seen her drink any water yet and i have had her for two days and a half, if you needed to know shes a winter white dwarf
ReplyDeleteHi Zeena, if your hamster is new to the environment then maybe she has not settled down yet. No worry as long as she eat her hamster mix and drink some water.
